- Detailed knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices applicable to offshore oil and gas asset
- Associated technical standards and relevant legislation
- Established supervisory and leadership experience of maintenance scheduling, organizing, coordinating and controlling of work including the management of contractors and vendors
- Equipment is safely and effectively maintained in accordance with CPP expectations, Regulatory and other relevant codes and standards.
- To supervise other team members in the safe and efficient operation of the CPP and wellhead platform.
- Able to carry out planned mechanical maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system
- Experienced in undertaking fault finding, installation, isolation and re-instatement on mechanical systems and equipment – both rotating and static.
- Communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage risk in an effective manner. Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others.
- Extensive knowledge in diesel generators, turbines, hydraulics, and compression trains, rotating equipment and cranes.
- Mechanical Technologist Degree in Mechanics or equivalent.
- 5 years related experience in a marine or Topsides maintenance environment. Offshore oil and gas operations would be an asset with 1-3 year experience in lead mechanical position.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the maintenance disciplines.
- Working knowledge of marine and / or Topsides related mechanical equipment.
- Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and with the application of computerized maintenance management systems.
- Familiarity with the theory and practice of rotating equipment and vibration analysis.
- Experience with the operation and maintenance of gas turbine driven generators, diesel engines, multi-stage centrifugal pumps and compressors, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems and associated auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to read relevant technical drawings and piping specifications.
- Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer).
- Leadership and teamwork skills / behaviours which support a team based organization.
- Proficient in English both written and spoken.
