Key Responsibilities:

Painting Quality Inspections:


Conduct patrols to verify that painting standards are met.

Inspect surface preparations and painting work according to the approved inspection plan and quality requirements.

Inspect incoming painting materials to ensure compliance with project requirements, including expiry checks within the product’s shelf-life.

Inspection Coordination and Reporting:

Collaborate with production teams to perform pre-inspections, identify issues, and document findings.

Collect and prepare information for daily Requests for Inspection (RFI) and maintain inspection records.

Work with Paint Manufacturer’s Advisors and Ship Owners to ensure quality and promptly address recommendations.

Report project-related issues directly to the Quality Manager.

Documentation and Quality Coordination:

Organize quality meetings when necessary to address project quality issues.

Maintain detailed records of inspections and reports.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval, Marine, or General Engineering.

Certification: NACE Level 2 or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role, preferably in shipyard or heavy industries (e.g., power plants, refineries).

Skills and Knowledge::

Proficiency in surface treatment and painting standards (e.g., NACE, BGAS CSWIP, FROSIO, IMO PSPC, ISO).

Strong technical understanding of surface treatment and painting requirements.

Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).

Computing proficiency in MS Office applications.
