Long Son Petrochemical Refineries has issued a Letter of Award (LOA) with EPC contractors for a number of key items. Long Son is preparing to recruit experts, engineers for the project management. The main packages / projects in the Long Son complex are as follows:

• Technip (Malaysia) + SK (South Korea): Olefins General Contractor (Package A)
• Posco Engineering (South Korea): Tank Farm (Package A2)
• Samsung E & C (Korea) + Linde (Germany): HDPE (Linde ASU gas plant) Package B
• Samsung E & C + Linde (Germany): PP (Linde ase gas factory) (Package C)
• Toyo (Thailand) + MESS (Japan): LLDPE (Package D)
• Posco Engineering (South Korea): Jetty Jetty (Package F)
• Hyundai (South Korea): Utility (Package G)
• Hanwha (South Korea) - general contractor of power plants
• PVC (Viet) - general construction contractor
• PVE (Viet) is the general contractor for port survey, offshore
• And some other contractors

Technical: Bidders for major items have been implementing the overall design - FEED.

Commercial: At the same time, Long Son is working closely with the government to apply for FID investment license and join with new partners to replace the capital of the national oil company Qatar, QP in the joint venture Long Paint. Total investment (after adjustment) is $ 4.6 billion.

About Project Management Consultant (PMC): Long Son has issued a bidding document for 4 Foster Wheeler (UK / Thai), KBR (USA), Bechtel International (Austrialia), and Engineers India (India). Thus, one of the four companies will be the project consultant.

Progress: Long Son will send project team from Bangkok, Thailand (together with SCG office building, the largest company in Long Son joint venture) to Long Son, Vung Tau. It is expected that F.I.D will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017 and the main contractors will carry out procurement & construction projects in early 2018.
All general contractor packages will be in parallel from the beginning of 2018 to the end of 2021 and commissioned and commissioned for commercial operation in early 2022.

In terms of personnel: the PMC consultant contractor will recruit approximately 40-60 domestic and international experts for 48 months of PMC package. In addition, EPC contractors will also recruit project monitoring and management personnel for the above EPC packages (about 10-20 professionals, engineers, supervisors for each package / 36 or 48 months)

On behalf of the investor: Long Son will recruit a number of high-level personnel during the project implementation, and will later enroll fresh graduates - about 500 personnel after 2022.
