PVTrans OilField Services is a professional provider of maritime transportation and services to the oil and gas industry in Viet Nam and abroad (FSO/FPSO, O&M...). We are now looking for professional individual to join our team as COOK positionas follow:

This position prepares, cooks and serves meals, snacks and provides bakery & confectionery products for customers on the FSO facility.

Brief Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Camp Boss / Chief Cook, accountabilities include:
1 Prepares, produces and serves meals, bakery and confectionery items within agreed quality standards, inventory levels, budgetary targets and contract specifications
2 Assists in preparation and monitoring of menus for nutritional balance
3 Conforms with all Occupational, Health, Safety and Hygiene standards
4 Participates in all training requirements to ensure duties are carried out in a competent manner
5 Adheres to all work and cleaning duties as defined
6 Maintains effective communication with personnel and third party personnel.
7 Supports Stewards and/or Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Competencies:
(Skills required to accomplish this role effectively)
1 Marine Cooking Certificate with Baker’s Production papers
2 05 – 07 years’ experience in the preparation, production and service of meals (preferably in an offshore/remote location).
3 02 years’ experience as Cook at offshore field.
4 Knowledge of professional food preparation and service principles
5 Ability to use specialized food preparation equipment
6 Knowledge of regulatory and food service industry codes and standards
7 Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest level of quality & customer service
8 Ability to meet physical demands of the role including continual standing, walking, bending and lifting of kitchen equipment and food supplies and repetitive task performance
9 Willingness to take initiative and suggest improvements in services
10 Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer)
11 Leadership and teamwork skills/behavior which support team based organization
12 Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations
13 Ability to recognize and resolve conflict
14 English language skills.

Certificate required:
- Graduated from Vocational College (Certificate of Qualification as 2nd Cook), having Food handling and Hygiene;
- Pre Hire Qualifications as STCW requirements and additional requirements by company as per training matrix as decided by company.
- Should be able to Communicate, Read and Write in English.
