PVD Training & Industrial Solutions JSC is looking for an experienced Assistant Rig Manager to support offshore drilling operations, ensure operational excellence, and maintain compliance with HSE and operational requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure offshore drilling operations comply with operational manuals, QHSE policies, management systems, and approved operating budgets.
• Monitor rig KPIs and operational performance in accordance with management directives.
• Coordinate with rig teams, operations support, clients, and vendors to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.
• Oversee rig equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance (PM), and overdue maintenance tracking.
• Manage rig warm stacking, reactivation scopes, planning, and execution.
• Support new build reactivation projects, contract preparation, and cost control.
• Monitor regional and country-specific costs, including contract preparation and CAPEX-related costs.
• Ensure QHSE systems, operational manuals, and offshore procedures are properly implemented and maintained.
• Conduct offshore and onshore visits and interact with the OIM where applicable.
• Provide support and temporary cover for Rig Managers as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Required: Well Control certification demonstrating knowledge and understanding of drilling operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; technical college qualification is also acceptable.
• Rig Engineer Program graduate preferred.
• Previous offshore experience, preferably in drilling operations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work regionally or globally as required.
Work Location: Offshore / Regional assignments as required
