Role Description
A ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Pilot is a skilled professional responsible for operating and maintaining remotely operated vehicles used in underwater exploration, inspection, and intervention activities. ROV Pilots play a crucial role in various industries, including offshore oil and gas, marine research, underwater construction, and salvage operations. They are responsible for remotely controlling ROVs to perform tasks and collect data in challenging underwater environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- ROV Operation: Operate ROVs to perform tasks such as inspection, maintenance, data collection, and manipulation of underwater structures or equipment.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on ROVs to ensure their proper functionality.
- Navigation: Safely and accurately navigate ROVs through underwater environments using video feeds and data from sensors.
- Communication: Maintain clear and efficient communication with the surface team to relay information, coordinate tasks, and provide updates on mission progress.
- Data Collection: Operate equipment such as cameras, sonar, and sensors to collect high-quality data for analysis and reporting.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of team members and equipment.
- Documentation: Record operational data, maintenance activities, and mission outcomes for reporting and analysis.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during operations and implement solutions in real-time.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Prefer to have ROV Pilot certification from a recognized institution or training program. Common organizations offering certifications include the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and the Remote Operated Vehicle Committee of the Marine Technology Society (MTS ROV Committee).
- 1-3 years in experience operating ROVs is preferred
- Subsea Engineering, Maintenance & Repair, and Inspection skills
- BOSIET certification
- Experience with diving operations and underwater inspection techniques
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
