PVTrans Oilfield Service is searching for Lead Mechanical Technician to join our team for Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet Project.

Specific Accountabilities:
Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, accountabilities include but may not be limited to the following, which may be revised from time to time pending changes in operational requirements:
· Experienced in the control and use of Safe Systems of Work (PTW) procedure.
· Able to carry out planned mechanical maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system.
· Experienced in undertaking fault finding, installation, isolation and re-instatement on mechanical systems and equipment – both rotating and static.
· Communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
· Establish effective relationships with colleagues and subcontractors.
· Manage risk in an effective manner. Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others.
· Be able to act as mentor and coach to other Mechanical Technicians and assist Maintenance Supervisor with ongoing assessments for all Mech Techs.
· Safeguarding the reliability, availability and operational condition of static and rotating mechanical equipment.
· Extensive knowledge in diesel generators, gas turbines, hydraulics, and gas compression trains, compressors, pumps, cranes, HVAC and other rotating equipment.
· Knowledgeable and experienced in static mechanical equipment including pressure vessels, valves, heat ex-changers, and other process equipment of offshore topside.
· Ensure underlying causes of failures are understood and appropriate action taken to avoid repeat failures.
· Ensure mechanical maintenance work is scheduled and prioritised in line with maintenance work.
· Management processes, including the raising of relevant work permits.
· Lead, supervise on site and actively support Mechanical Technicians, Contractors and Vendors to ensure work is executed in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
· Highlight defects in practices, procedures, equipment and tools to the attention of relevant staff.
· Material requisition raise including spare part/tools ordering and replenishment.
· Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change.

Minimum Competencies:

· Mechanical Technologist Certificate in Mechanics or equivalent.
· 5 years related experience in a marine or Topsides maintenance environment (offshore oil and gas operations would be an asset) with 1-3 year experience in lead mechanical position.
· Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the maintenance disciplines.
· Working knowledge of marine and / or Topsides related mechanical equipment.
· Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and with the application of computerized maintenance management systems.
· Familiarity with the theory and practice of rotating equipment and vibration analysis.
· Experience with the operation and maintenance of gas turbine driven generators, diesel engines, multi-stage centrifugal pumps and compressors, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems and associated auxiliary equipment.
· Ability to read relevant technical drawings and piping specifications.
· Leadership and teamwork skills / behaviors which support a team based organization.
· Proficient in English both written and verbal.


Salary: Competitive
Working location: Onshore - Vung Tau then moving to offshore work in Q2 - 2020
